Discover our Library of Things, where you can check out Wi-Fi hotspots, seeds, museum passes and so much more.

Library of Things items are first-come, first-serve and cannot be placed on hold. Please call the front desk if you’d like to confirm the availability of any of the listed items.

Museum Passes

Checkout a museum pass for free admission for the while family!

  • The Figge Art Museum pass grants admission for 2 adults and all dependent children and also provides a 10% discount at the museum store. The pass is available for one week checkout. View reciprocal facilities here.

  • The Putnam museum pass grants admission for up to 5 people, with the option to add extra attendees for $10 per person. This pass is available for one week checkout. This pass is eligible for ASTC reciprocity. View reciprocal facilities here.

  • The Botanical Center pass grants admission for 2 adults and 4 children. This pass is available for one week checkout. View the list of reciprocal facilities here.

  • The Niabi Zoo pass grants free admission and parking for 2 adults and 4 children. Additional children receive a 50% discount on admission. The pass also features discounted rates for ride tickets and animal food, and free or discounted admission to any of the listed reciprocal facilities . This pass is available for 3 day checkout.

  • The Fun Bundle grants free admission for 2 adults and 4 children to the Figge Museum, the Putnam Museum, and the Niabi Zoo. This pass is available for one week checkout. Learn more about the Fun Bundle here.

 Seed Library

Seeds for veggies, herbs, flowers, and native plants are available for “check-out” year round. Seeds do not need to be checked back in, but patrons are always welcome to donate to the seed library by “checking-in” seeds of their own!

  • Wi Fi Hotspots

    Franklin T-10 Wi Fi hotspots can connect you to the internet on the go or in your home.

  • Chromebooks

    Checkout a Chromebook computer to work on your project beyond our library hours.

  • Xbox One

    The Xbox One comes with a console, 2 controllers, and all of the necessary charging cords. Xbox One games are also available for checkout.

  • Play Station 4

    The Play Station 4 comes with the console, 2 controllers, and all necessary charging cords. Play Station 4 games are also available for checkout.

  • Nintendo Switch Lite

    The Switch Lite is a version of the Nintendo Switch that is hand-held only, meaning it cannot be played on a TV. Nintendo Switch games are also available for checkout.

  • Nintendo 3DS

    The Nintendo 3DS comes with the device, a charging dock, a stylus, and a car charger. Nintendo 3DS games are also available for checkout.

  • Playstation 5

    The Play Station 5 comes with the console, one controller, and all necessary cables. PS5 games are also available for checkout.

  • Meta Quest 2

    Formerly known as the Occulus, the Meta Quest 2 is a VR Headset. The console comes preloaded with games to play and a set of instructions for first time users.

Recreational Items for Checkout

  • Library Telescope

    Donated by the Popular Astronomy Club, our Library Telescope allows patrons to explore the night sky from the comfort of their own homes. this beginner friendly device is easy to use and fun for the whole family.

  • Pickleball Paddles

    Check out our pickleball kit to play at the court down the street! Each bag comes with two paddles, two balls, and a set of pickleball instructions.

Special Event Items for Checkout

  • Folding Tables

    Up to 6 tables can be checked out for two days, pending availability. These indoor/outdoor tables are 6 feet in length, and the legs can be folded in.

  • Metal Folding Chairs

    Metal folding chairs can be checkout out for 1 week, and may be used indoors or outdoors.

  • Canopy Tents

    Small and large white canopy tents are available for checkout. These outdoor tents are available year-round for 2 day checkout

  • Roaster Ovens

    Three roaster ovens for special occasion cooking are available for checkout.

  • Crockpot

    One 8-quart crockpot is available for 1 week checkout, pending availability.
