River Valley Board of Trustees
The RVDL Board of Trustees exercises control over library policies and procedures. They meet monthly to discuss library operations, approve expenditures, and plan for the library’s future. The board also plays a key role in hiring and evaluating the library director, who manages day-to-day operations. Library boards help maintain transparency, ensure responsible use of public funds, and support the library’s mission to provide access to information, resources, and programs for the community.

The River Valley District Library Board of Trustees regularly meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm at 214 S Main Street., Port Byron, IL. Please e-mail director@rivervalleylibrary.org to contact the library board members.

Library Board Meeting Dates
Meetings of the River Valley District Library are typically held on the fourth Wednesday of each month beginning at 5:30 pm in the Community Room on the second floor of the library (214 S. Main Street, Port Byron, IL 61275).
Special Meetings
Special meetings may be held. Special meeting agendas will be posted at the library and on the library’s website no less than 48 hours before the meeting.
