To: Port Byron Historical Society members and friends:

This month we will have something different for our monthly meeting. We will be taking a field trip to one of the historic locations in the Port Byron area, the original Hauberg house in Coe Township.

The Port Byron Historical Society will meet on Wednesday, June 11 at 7:00pm at the River Valley District Library in Port Byron. Please arrive on time to enable us to complete this off-site trip before sunset.

We will leave the library at 7:00pm and travel to the site of the John Hauberg house in Coe Township.  Mike Skelton has been able to arrange for us to view the grounds of that site and the adjacent cemetery. We will talk about the history of the site and the Hauberg family that lived there, and were prominent in Port Byron area history.

Please arrive in time to start for the site at 7:00pm.  We will provide some car pooling, as parking will be limited at the destination.
