The Port Byron Christmas Walk is just around the corner and there is plenty of festive fun at the library!
Start the night at the lighting of the tree on the library's front lawn, and welcome Santa as he arrives into town. Visit with Santa and make Christmas crafts in Santa's Workshop, upstairs in our community room. Then, pop downstairs to Santa's Bakery to relax and embrace your holiday spirit. Baked goods will be available for sale by the Friends of the River Valley District Library, coffee and hot cocoa will be available for purchase at our Sip and Flip Coffee Bar, and Take and Make Potpourri will be available for free at our circulation desk while supplies last! Entertainment at Santa's Bakery includes a special appearance by Legacy Therapy Dogs, musical performances by Lainey Benson (5:15-6:00), Home Baked Christmas Goodies (6:15-7:00), and Wes Wells (7:15-8:00). Face Painting, popcorn, teen crafts and a movie screening will take place in the Teen Corner throughout the night for teens looking to chill while their families participate in the children's activities.

Fundraisers for Rapids City Fire Protection will also be taking place throughout the night! Visit Village Hall to check out their silent auction items, bake sale goods, and buy a cup of delicious fire station chili from their chili fundraiser!
