  • Current Library Services

    Updated 6/11/21

An Important Message from Library Director, Teri Schwenneker, about library services as of 6/11/21:
On June 11, 2021, Illinois moved to Phase V of COVID response/reopening. Overall, this means restrictions have been removed or greatly lessened throughout the state of Illinois.
For RVDL, the Board of Trustees approved that when the state moved to Phase V, the library would too. The agreed upon action is that all vaccinated people entering the library may choose to not wear a mask. We are very excited to see everyone, smiles blazing!!
But…not everyone is able to go without masks. We ask for respectful consideration for those in our community that have the continued need to protect themselves and their loved ones. We ask for your special attention while gathering, to be aware of our spacing and hygiene. Hand sanitizer will be available going forward. We will also continue to offer disposable masks for those that “might be coming down with something,” however, we prefer that you skip stopping in if that is the case. We will be happy to bring you your items, curbside. We will continue to sanitize computer stations and areas shared by the 5 and under crowd 😊 Please let us know what we can do to help you! Welcome back, we are so HAPPY TO SEE YOUR SMILES!!
