Growth isn’t just something that happens in nature; it happens in us too. The phrase “turning over a new leaf” means starting fresh, trying something different, and giving yourself permission to grow. This month, we’re embracing both meanings. Learn to dance, sing, play an instrument, explore robotics and coding, or dig into some greenery inspired crafts and hobbies that help you branch out in a brand new way. Let this be the season you plant new skills, nurture new passions, and watch them bloom.

The Friends of the Library are preparing for their annual plant sale, and need your help gathering plants! As you are starting your seeds and dividing your plants we encourage you to consider donating plants to this impactful fundraiser. Bonus points for veggie plants!

Open Floor Robotics

Fresh from their State Championship, River Valley Robotics is partnering with our library to introduce new learners to the fundamentals of building and coding LEGO Robots. Register for either or both of these sessions to dip your toes in coding concepts and learn more about getting involved with the River Valley Robotics team!

Not Baby Stuff (Promise)

What are Tween Programs, and why are they important?

Tween Programs are for patrons ages 8-12, who aren’t quite young enough to enjoy a story time or kids craft, but also may not be ready to party with the teens. Holding separate events for tweens helps them connect with peers, engage in age appropriate recreation, and solidifies our library as a destination for lifelong learning and fun.

What’s Growing at the Library?

These whimsical hanging leaves were added to our children’s area over the weekend! Cut and painted by a local patron, they celebrate the transformative magic of reading. We are so grateful for our community members who support the library and grow alongside us.
