The Autumn Chapter

October at the Library

Fall into fun this October! The library is bursting with spooky adventures like Spooky Mini Golf, Autumn Fest, Haunted Gingerbread Houses, Outdoor Movies. Little ghouls and goblins can boogie at our Baby Costume Rave, and trick or treaters of all ages can enjoy the treats at Friends of the Library Trunk or Treat. Swing by and make this Autumn unforgettable!

Spooky Wall Art
Wed. October 1st

Start the spooky season off right by making some Halloween decor that you can show off in your home all month long!

Spooky Mini Golf
Thurs. October 2nd
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Putt your fears to the side! Mini golf in the library stacks is a hole lotta fun! Navigate spooky spirits and test your scary-good skills on our haunted course. Help us creep it real by letting us know you’re coming! Register on our website, or show your interest on our Facebook event page.

Outdoor Movie

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to a cozy family movie night on the library’s front lawn! The movie will begin at sundown. Food and beverages will be provided.

Autumn Fest
Sat. October 4th
11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Help us spread some Autumn cheer! This year will feature games, crafts, pumpkin painting. At 12:00 we will be marching in a costume parade to the firestation, where there will be touch a truck, and a pie eating contest! Food and beverages will be available for sale by River Cities Rotary and Pulse 84.

Teens between the ages of 11-19 are invited to create a work and/or works that showcase your creativity and explore the 2025 theme of One of Us is Lying. Who said that?! Who is the liar? Am I the liar?! What is the lie? We have so many questions! We want to see mystery. We want to see horror. We want to see romance. We love a nonfiction piece. We are here for silliness and whimsy. We applaud passion and earnestness. We want to see what your mind creates from this theme.

New Addition to Adult Makerspace

Our new adult makerspace area now features knitting and crocheting supplies! Grab a cup of coffee from the Friends Coffee Stand, and find a comfy spot to pick up a new recreational skill in our upgraded library space.
